Intensive research has indicated that there is no domain extension which denotes a sincere involvement and concern for the environment in all it's interlocking aspects. Hence we formulated the ".eco"concept.

There are various Standardization Organizations which are attempting to enlist commercial, industrial and manufacturing corporations to assume their global and environmental responsibilities with some degree of success.

We are of the opinion we have entered into a phase of human development never seen nor experienced before; resulting in the possible extermination of humankind as a specie. The Planet will be here regardless. The question we have to ask ourselves is shall we continue to play the fiddle as Pompeii succumbs to destruction? Or join hands in an effort to solve the problems we have created for generations to come?

There are individuals and organizations striving to correct the mistakes of the past. ".eco" will permit everyone to have a stake in securing the well being of the future. We believe that".eco"  can be a platform that corporations can share their actions and successes towards sustainability and survivability. We envision the ".eco "enlisting all within the supply chain, the stakeholders, the employees and the consumers to have a stake in uplifting  companies above and beyond their present positions that are consistent with the evolution of the domain market and the drive towards open, structured data.

The addition of ".eco" to a company's website will lend credibility to the efforts that this company has made and will continue to make; because we will never become content and rest upon our past laurels. The efforts to make the company an exemplary workplace, it's cradle to grave recyclable products and ensure the world to be a safer, cleaner place for all ".eco" insists all participating parties will use energy and natural resources responsibly reducing GHG, and irresponsible waste of water endorsing an ultimate goal of creating a zero carbon foot print.
